We have been to Paris four times and this trip was hands down the best! Thank you for taking us out of our usual routine and letting us discover neighborhoods and places we never would have found if it weren’t for you. We feel like we have discovered a whole new city. If someone says the word Paris, we give them your website before they finish the sentence. We’ll be in touch in November for our next trip.
Cheers to a great holiday in Paris with an itinerary that even our moody teenage son enjoyed.
Hey Jeremie, Linda, thanks so much for the awesome guide! Our first trip back in 2019 was kind of a bummer because we fell into every tourist trap there is. You showed us a Paris we didn’t even know existed (we’re now obsessed with Belleville), and most of the time, we were the only non-locals around. Now we get it! Paris is awesome! We might just have to move here, ha ha!
Of course there is plenty of information on the internet…but looking at the top ten restaurants and things to do on Tripadvisor is usually a guarantee to find yourself in a place with a million other tourists.
I found this was definitely worth it and made everything so much more relaxed because we didn’t need to think about where to go next and it felt like a more authentic experience. Even my friend who is Parisian was impressed and didn’t know some of the places.
What a weekend! The rave was wild, and we were definitely the only non-Parisians there. Thanks also for the tip about the afterparty and the hangover food — it really saved us the next day, haha. Everything else — the restaurants, galleries, and spa — was also exceptional. One of our best trips. Thank you!
Bravo for this great concept! I am definitely recommending you next time someone asks me for Parisian tips, and might be in touch again someday for … tips in Zurich 😉
They provided really great personal service and gave me some amazing tips. Although I have already been multiple times in Paris and thought I would know the city and its offerings, they were able to surprise me and thanks to them I was able to discover new restaurants, galleries and local clothing brands.
Among other things, I discovered the absolute best vintage shop thanks to the tips from “Where should I go” (and of course left a lot of money there). The personalised guide with the Google Maps pins, which guide you easily through Paris, is also great. I can highly recommend the service, the two founders, Linda and Jérémie, are really kind and were always available to answer any questions. Merci beaucoup!
We used Whereshouldigo because we wanted to spend a relaxed girls’ weekend in Paris but didn’t have much time to organize.
As we already knew Paris, it was great to get a plan for the day away from the tourists. The restaurants were real insider tips, very cosy and especially good!
[The service] saves a lot of time and energy on looking for places to go, especially in a big city like Paris. I think the most important thing I want to note is that they really picked everything for me, even found a place that makes desserts with low sugar (for diabetics it’s important). I didn’t stay in the center and they found cool places in my area or close to my area because I asked without long trips.
A friend who recently went to Paris recommended “Where Should I Go” to me and I’m glad he did!!! Just perfect for anyone who hates organizing but also wants to have a special experience…not the usual tourist locations but cool local places. We celebrated my girlfriends birthday in the most amazing restaurant (I wont tell the name hehe) and she still talks about it.
I couldn’t have been happier. I was very overwhelmed as there is so much to see in Paris, but Linda and her team listened to what I was looking for and helped me to organise what then became one of the best trips of my life. I can’t recommend it enough!
I thoroughly enjoyed the suggestions from Linda and Jeremy, from the deliciously unconventional food-choices to the cultural nightlife. I felt like I got a whole week of Paris in three days.
What will your digital Paris guidebook contain?
When you’re traveling, there’s nothing better than feeling like you’ve really immersed yourself in the local culture. But how do you get the real insider addresses, the places only Parisians know? That’s where we come in.
Our personalized guides have helped hundreds of travelers, including a few Parisians. We’ve got addresses that are so confidential that even some locals don’t know them.
You won’t find the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, or the Arc de Triomphe in your bespoke guide – you can visit those on your own. Our personalized guidebooks are packed with unique activities in Paris that are tailored to your personal preferences. These experiences can be anything from a Japanese grandmother selling her home-cooked meals out of her window, a bar where everyone sings along to French chansons, a pop-up sale of hottest designer of the moment, a nightclub under a highway bridge, the picture-perfect neighborhood bistro every traveler dreams about, to rooftop yoga and drawing lessons with a Parisian artist. Expect 8-16 addresses per travel day.

What does a typical 3 day itinerary look like?
All our itineraries are bespoke, meaning there is no ‘typical’ itinerary. But below is an example of what three days in Paris could look like. Note that though we’re specialized in hidden gems and authentic experiences loved by locals, we can work anything you wish into your itinerary. It’s totally understandable that you’d want to visit Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame church, or even take a day trip to Versailles. We’ll complete your trip plan with lesser known gems and under-the-tourist-radar spots to create the perfect itinerary and to make your stay in Paris truly unique.
Day 1: Le Marais, Belleville, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, private Seine cruise
Join a local fashion designer and half a dozen other lucky guests at the prettiest breakfast table in town, set up in front of their shop on a picturesque square. Swap travel stories with your new friends and talk about life in Paris while enjoying fresh pastries, coffee and the morning sun.
Walk along the Seine to the Marais to see the latest art in a couple of prestigious galleries and visit a few boutiques. Take a break with coffee or juice from an expert roaster and head to the secret park behind the Place des Vosges. For lunch, you have reservations at an authentic eatery serving buttery crepes, and a few steps away is a hilly park with fantastic views of the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Tour Montparnasse.
The afternoon is split between the artsy Belleville neighborhood and historic Saint-Germain-des-Prés, where you’ll walk past the former haunts of the Lost Generation and stunning examples of Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture. Pick up some macarons from our favorite patisserie along the way.
It’s apero time, so do like the locals and head to a cute little wine bar for a glass of crisp pet’ nat’ accompanied by live jazz. When you’re done, it’s time for dinner at the city’s hottest gastronomic temple, where you’ll try French cuisine like you’ve never had it before. Finish off the evening with a private Seine River cruise that takes you past the city’s beautifully lit landmarks.
Day 2: Louvre, family restaurant, flea markets, painting class
Start your second day at an excellent bakery in central Paris, stocking up on freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat to take to the park at the tip of the Ile de la Cité for an impromptu picnic by the water. Then meet your private guide in front of the Louvre for a customized tour that lets you skip the long lines.
After you’ve had your fill of the Mona Lisa, head out of the tourist crowds of the Rue de Rivoli and grab some lunch at a family-run joint tucked away in a courtyard. The owner, a real character, will probably greet you like you’re family. Rested and energized, head north to the Puces de Clignancourt flea market and follow our guide to the best stalls and great places to take a coffee break.
For dinner, grab a table at a cozy locals-only bistro just off Montmartre, and don’t miss the homemade desserts. After a stop at a stylish cocktail bar, head to a gallery in a less touristy part of Paris for a nightly painting session.
Day 3: Artist villa, Canal Saint-Martin, pastry class, fine dining
The last of your three days in Paris begins with pancakes and a cool hip-hop playlist in Paris’ trendy east. Now that you’re all set to tackle the day, hop on the train into the suburbs to visit the countryside villa of a famed French artist. Since this place isn’t on the typical tourist radar, you’ll have plenty of room to roam at your leisure. A luxury in Paris!
Then, return to the city for a lunchtime rendezvous at a cheeky neo-bistro on the picturesque Canal Saint-Martin and stroll along the waterfront before heading to your next stop: a local designer who uses couture fabrics to create exclusive collections at high street prices. To end the perfect afternoon, learn how to make classic French pastries in a gorgeous Parisian home.
Dinner time: A fine dining experience, a (not to be dramatic, but) life-changing tasting menu centered around spices. The chef will greet every diner personally and make sure you’re enjoying your evening. And for the grand finale, you’re invited to a private film screening in an apartment hosted by a local cinema club.

The benefits of having your perfect Paris trip planned by locals
We see it all the time: travelers trying to cram too much into one, two, three or more days in Paris because they underestimate waiting times and distances. Planning a trip to Paris from afar is an arduous task, and the risk of ending up disappointed is high.
So save yourself the headache and let us do the work for you. We’ll optimize your schedule and advise you on the best times and ways to visit the monuments with minimal waiting lines, making sure you have enough room for scenic strolls, delicious coffee and pastry breaks, people-watching and spontaneous discoveries. All the things that make Paris so enjoyable.
If you haven’t already booked your flights and accommodation, we can guide you through the best time to visit and help you find the right hotel in Paris.
We’ll also work the best ways of getting around Paris into your itinerary and, if you like, point out the best photo spots along the way.
Whether you’re visiting Paris for a day or two weeks, and whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned veteran, we’re committed to making this the best trip of your life.
