This [itinerary] was just perfect and the Zurich Manual was so helpful for first-timers like us.
This was so much fun! I loved the little questionnaire at the beginning. But I remember thinking to myself, how on earth are you going to know our tastes from those rather broad questions? But you nailed it 100% and our time in Zurich was really special thanks to you.
Absolutely amazing! Our digital guide was everything we hoped for — and more. From charming local markets to top restaurants and unforgettable nights out, every recommendation felt spot on. It was like having a local friend show us around the city. We came back with amazing memories, tons of laughs, and a new favorite city. Thank you both for helping us make the most of our Zurich adventure!
OK, this is crazy… After using your service for Paris and thinking how awesome it would be to have the same personalized guide with all the local spots around the world, you go ahead and launch for Zurich — my next destination! I didn’t have time to hit up everything you recommended, but the spots I did check out were on point. Once again, well done.
P.S. Any chance of a Where Should I Go in Athens soon?

Zurich 3 day itinerary: example
All our itineraries are bespoke, meaning there is no ‘typical’ itinerary. But below is an example of what it might look like. In this case, the 3 days in Zurich trip include a mix of lesser known gems and under-the-tourist-radar spots with some sightseeing thrown in. Your itinerary could look similar or completely different, depending on your interests and what you want to get out of your trip. If you don’t have a clear idea in mind, don’t stress. We’re here to suggest things that we think would be a good fit for you.
Day 1: Old Town, Kunsthaus, Seefeld & dinner by the lake
Start your adventure in Switzerland’s most vibrant city at a pop-up bakery trying local pastries such as Gipfeli and Weggli, then stroll through the Old Town, stopping at a few avant-garde galleries and the Fraumünster church to admire the beautiful stained glass windows by Marc Chagall before heading up to see the latest exhibition at the Kunsthaus.
After a delicious lunch at one of the city’s many great Italian restaurants, visit the posh Seefeld neighborhood, taking a coffee break at a café that’s perfect for celebrity-watching and buying a few artisanal design products as souvenirs from the small boutiques in the area. Then, spend the rest of the afternoon checking out the impressive architecture, like a stunning 19th-century villa with a private floral park.
In the evening, a boat will pick you up and take you to your dinner spot on an idyllic terrace overlooking Lake Zurich. The evening ends with a stroll along the lake back to your hotel or apartment.
Day 2: Wiedikon, Langstrasse, local designers, river rafts
Start your second day in Zurich with the locals’ favorite weekend pastime: brunch at a popular café in the hip neighborhood of Wiedikon. Fuel up for a long day of shopping in the Wiedikon and Langstrasse neighborhoods, where you’ll find a thriving creative atmosphere with many local brands, trendy bars and restaurants, and specialty coffee shops.
Rest your legs in the hidden garden of a café serving daily market-fresh lunch menus before heading to your private appointment at a local designer’s studio, where you can exclusively shop their limited-edition collections. In the afternoon, after you’ve safely stashed your purchases at your hotel, join a floating party on the Limmat, where locals float down the river in rubber boats, playing music and turning the whole thing into a festive parade. Disembark at Werdinsel to swim and sunbathe on the small island.
As the sun sets, take the tram home to change and freshen up before dinner at one of the city’s best restaurants, which combines natural wine with traditional Swiss cuisine. Afterwards, go dancing at a trendy cocktail bar, join the crowds at a popular karaoke spot or take part in a monthly boozy bingo night.
Day 3: Farmers market, Swiss chocolate, hiking, outdoor movie
Today’s program includes visiting a small farmers market to pick up supplies for your afternoon excursion. Then, enjoy breakfast and coffee on the terrace of an adjacent café that’s always packed with locals.
After breakfast, take the cable car up to a viewing platform for a stunning view of the city, then sneak into the showroom of one of Switzerland’s finest artisanal chocolate makers for a quick tasting and maybe pick up a bar for your subsequent hike up Zurich’s own little mountain, the Uetliberg. Enjoy the fresh air, nature, incredible panoramic views and a picnic lunch of the delicious local specialties you picked up at the market in the morning.
In the evening, dine in a restaurant that doubles as an art gallery, with dishes inspired by the current exhibition. After dark, join local movie lovers for an outdoor screening by the river.
3 good reasons to order an itinerary today
1
Get more for your money
Switzerland is expensive, and if you’re visiting on a non-Swiss salary, the prices are bound to hurt a bit. So you want to make sure it’s money well spent. With our tailored insider recommendations, you won’t have to worry about that. We’ll also help you choose the cheapest train tickets for day trips to another city in Switzerland like Lucerne, and advise you on whether or not it’s worth buying a Zurich card, depending on your itinerary.
2
Optimize your time
Of course, you’ll save a lot of time planning with a customized itinerary from us, but you’ll also optimize your time on the ground, especially if you’re only spending a day or two in Zurich. It’s hard to estimate from a distance and without insider knowledge how long your commute will take, how much time you’ll spend at museum X, the best time to book a table at restaurant Y, or how early or late you should go to a nightclub.
3
Plan the trip of your dreams
Unlike other travel planners, we don’t work with pre-made itineraries that are simply modified for each client. We build your trip from the ground up to make sure it’s exactly what you want: The best traditional Swiss restaurants or the most exciting modern fusion, charming little boutiques away from the franchises on Bahnhofstrasse, playing chess with the locals at Lindenhof, hiking with the best view of Zurich? We’ll work it all into your schedule.

Meet your Zurich experts
We’re Linda and Jérémie, a Zurich native and a Parisian, on a mission to show travelers the best of Zurich while letting them explore the city the way the locals do. As one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities and a criminally underrated travel destination, Zurich has so much to offer those who visit. Splitting our time between here and Paris, we’re always on the hunt for rare gems and the best restaurants, bars, art spaces, fashion brands, coffee shops, architecture and other worthwhile things to see and do, and we can’t wait to share our finds with you.
